How to choose which ticket type is suitable for your journey

In your train search results you will be presented with different ticket types, and each type has different restrictions.

Anytime tickets

  • Refundable. 

  • Flexible to use the same ticket on other train times on the same day, as long as they are adhering to the validity and route restrictions rules of the purchased ticket.

  • There is a fee for cancellation per ticket

Offpeak tickets

  • Refundable. 

  • Flexible to use the same ticket on other offpeak train times, as long as they are adhering to the validity and route restrictions rules of the purchased ticket.

  • There is a fee for cancellation per ticket

Advance tickets

  • Non refundable. 

  • This ticket is only valid on the train time/date specified, can exchange before the original booked train has departed the station. (recommend 2 hours prior). 

  • There is a fee for amendment per ticket

Travelcards

  • Refundable. 

  • Flexible to multi use the same ticket all day for the travel date booked. 

  • There is a fee for cancellation per ticket

Ticket must be returned to us in order for the cancellation to be refunded, or amendment to be processed.
